China one child policy
China has the largest population in the world. For this reason China's population control laws are very strict. In 1979 the Chinese government implemented a policy known today as the one child policy. The policy was created to ensure that China would be able to feed its people. The one child policy has reduced Chinas population. The policy only permits one child per couple which allows for fewer and healthier births. However, couples who have a girl as their first child are sometimes allow to have a second one. P
Educuation is very expensive in China, so the one child policy allows families to concentrate their resources on one child. People who critize the policy believe that the one child policy violates human rights. Their is no point in bringing children into this world to die. Couples dont want to have girls because boys can support their parents when they get old. For example, the opportunity to get an education. Yet they keep bringing children into this world to suffer and die of hunger. Moreover, woman are able to concentrate on their careers instead of raising lots of children. The one child policy in China helps reduce the overpopulation and poverty. Parents can provide one child a better life and greater opportunity. Parents spoiled their kids by giving them everything they can. As we all know Chinese families prefer male children to female children which is becoming a problem. The one child policy has led to the rise of the "little emperors". As a result, more baby boys are born than girls. I think this policy should be enforce in third world countries.
