Civil War Prediction

Civil War Prediction It is after close observation of both sides that I have come to the conclusion that it is the Confederate Army who will win the Civil War. The South is blessed with superior leadership and a greater motivation than the North could ever hope for. In addition, intimate knowledge of the Confederate territory will give the South a clear advantage in battlefield strategy. The poorly trained Union Army will eventually be worn down by the South and forced to surrender. The Confederate Army is blessed to be commanded by the most experienced generals in the United States. The finest military leaders in the nation are Southerners, because the South has a long tradition of military pride and training, even among the elite. The Union's advantage of having more troops will be squandered by poor strategy and bad organization d

Confederate generals have intimate knowledge of the land that will allow them to dictate the locations of the various battles that will ensue. Southerners are also governed by a complex code of honor that is based on pride and bravery that has almost a hundred years of tradition, while many Union soldiers are European immigrants who can barely speak English. Southerners were willing to fight the " Yankees" because they wee angry that the North would fight them just because they wanted to secede from the Union. The spread out Union Army will have a struggle locating the well hidden Confederate Army and they will have problems communicating among their own infantry. The South will be able to strike the Union Army off their guard and inflict damage and cause many casualties. Lee and "Stonewall" Jackson will be capable of concentrating Confederate troops to defeat the disorganized Union Army. The Confederate Army also has a huge advantage in motivation. Union troops will not have maps that will accurately detail the topography of the Southern landscape. These commanders have far more knowledge of the Southern landscape than any Yankee could ever hope for. Because the South is fighting a defensive war, they will be much more familiar with the territory and will be able to spread out the enemy and wear the Union Army down until they eventually turn around and go home. Union leader will have a great amount of difficulty when it comes to navigating in the unfamiliar Southern territory. Because the Union is invading the South, the Confederate Army would be able to fight a purely defensive war. The Union Army does not stand a chance against the well-trained Confederate Army.
