Alcohol Related Crime on College CampusesA few years ago at Towson University, an intoxicated student attempted to gain access to a residence hall in order to visit a friend (Siegel). When the student worker at the entrance stopped him from reaching his destination, the drunken student sent the employee for an overnight hospital stay (Siegel). After a university hearing, the student was suspended from Towson, in addition to receiving criminal charges (Siegel). This excellent example of a violent act on campus illustrates how drinking excessive amounts of alcohol can rob an individual of the integrity that he might value.
