The California Immigration Movement

             America should more severely restrict the number of illegal immigrants allowed into the country each year. America has greatly relaxed its restrictions on illegal immigrants coming into the country and it needs to get back to regulation. Illegal immigrants get free health care and now they can get drivers licenses. Should we go out, renounce our citizenship and then sneak back in? California has already achieved a state-wide minority majority and it is estimated that there are 8-11 million illegal immigrants in America. There are an estimated 500,000 to 800,000 immigrants coming into America each year and the government is passing legislation that encourages more.
             When immigrants enter this country illegally they break the law and assume risk. Why then when they successfully break the law and enter the country are they rewarded with health care and drivers licenses? Illegal immigrants cannot positively contribute to the society because they are forced to do menial labor because they can't apply for good jobs. While the Americans pay tax dollars for illegal immigrants, what do they give back to the people and society? If people want to get into the country so bad they should try to do it the legal way so they can actually live good lives and have a chance at the "American Dream". Legally consequences for illegal immigrants have almost become a joke. Sadly, these immigrants want to flee Mexico and other countries and put their lives at risk. This year an 18 wheeler packed was found packed with illegal immigrants and many of them died of heat exposure and other causes. The U.S. by offering these benefits of drivers licenses and health care is only being cruel to people and encouraging them to risk their lives.
