PERSONAL GOALS

             The question "what personal goals I want to achieve at University of Phoenix" sounded very simple at first. But as I really began to think about the question I started to realize that it was not an easy question to answer because I had so many. However, I did manage to select some personal goals that I wanted to focus on while attending University of Phoenix. One of the personal goals I want to achieve is improving my study habits. It's not like my study habits are really bad but I've noticed that I need to learn how to develop an effective study and learning strategy. This is necessary because these strategies can be applied to work assignments, and readings that will be given to me while attending University of Phoenix. The next personal goal I want to achieve is improving my writing and communication skills. This has to one of the most important of goals for me. I believe that effective communication says a lot about a person. We all need to know how to effectively communicate our thoughts, dreams and ideas. I've been told by other instructors that I'm not short of imagination in my papers but when it come to my sentence structure, that's when I run into problems. Of course I know that sentence structure is very important when producing a paper so I have to work on that. I've been told that University of Phoenix offer workshops on improving writing styles so I'll probably take advantage of the additional resources offered to me to help me reach my goal.
             Another one of my personal goals I plan to achieve is to stop the negative talk. I'm always saying to myself " that's too hard to do" or " I'll never get this done in time". I've been trying to get into that positive thinking mode about my workload and my ability to complete each task. So far, I'm doing fine I've been replacing those negative thoughts with more positive statem...
