Mao Ze Dong

Chinese leadership worries concerning separatism are well founded. With China moving closer than ever to democracy these concerns are especially important. The regions that make up much of China do not seek widespread political independence, as their own freedom will come with time. An enormous and progressively growing country China is built up of many smaller entities. Many of these states were at one time under their own rule and willing to fight to regain their freedom. China has moved forward as a wealthy country and world power putting many of her problems in the past. The Chinese main concern in the matter is that these Islamic minorities may find that they have more in common with neighboring Islamic countries rather than China. " Taiwan is about 100 miles away from China making it relatively easier for Taiwan to break free than the nations making up Mainland China. China had more significant problems, as Taiwan had become an international member of the United Nations before China had. began changing its policies toward China and Taiwan. The danger of separatism has decreased as China feels and has states that it is simply too late for these states to regain their independence. In the same year, China was inducted and Taiwan lost its seat. The only fear of the Chinese government is the rivalry between Hong Kong and Shanghai. Three million troops arrived in Taiwan as well as Chiang Kai-shek himself. Then came the Chiang Kai-shek regime, and Chinese soldier were deployed in Taiwan. Taiwan is the largest Chinese island. As China continues to progress for the better it will be more increasingly more difficult for these provinces to separate from Chinese rule.
