Luther wrote the 95 theses and posted them on the churches door. The printing press made more and more and they spread like a
. . .
Both of these situations threatened the churches authority. They were strong and wouldn’t back down to what they believed even through all the threats of the church. The Church had been preaching that for years. The church had been teaching for thousands of years that the earth was the center of the universe and that the heavens were perfect and unmovable and that everything revolved around the earth and when any one was to go against the word of the church it could mean trouble. It could be so different if those two men weren’t here. People were reading these theories of these men and they were making sense. These two men left an everlasting effect on the church and on our society today. Everyone was reading them and seriously debating who was right? The church or Luther? He translated the bible into German so that a ton of people could read it and explore a faith of their own and because a bunch of people were having there own faith and believing in different things the pope was loosing someone his power. Galileo stated that the earth was not the center of the universe and that went against the churches beliefs. Galileo came out with that idea that the earth was indeed not the center of the earth.
