Homeless

             Boulder- Newlyweds June and Ward Shmoe are still being overheard gawking over how 'progressive', 'pretty' and 'good' they feel in their new hometown. The couple has been reported "in complete amazement" over their new alternative lifestyle at various sights around town including Wild Oats, Wal-Mart and Old Navy stores. After Tuesday's city council vote on the homeless, neighbor Mike Wilson was excited to catch the Shmoe's reaction on tape. "The people of Boulder are all aware of how much do as a community for other. It's still soo exciting though to hear our new neighbors in awe. When were feeling a little empty it reminds us how enlightened we truly are. The following is an excerpt from Mike's hidden tape recorded conversation of Judy and Ward Shmoe's Wednesday morning walk to Starbucks.
             "Ohh honey, Aren't the people here so wonderfully open and caring about the world and others, what a change from snobby Cherry Hills, and I even saw a black person by the college today!!!"
             "Yep get used to it dear, it's truly a melting pot of diversity here -- Were Boulderites now!!"
             "Ohh Ward, just us living here gives humanity a boost; hey you think we'll get a letter from Green Peace thanking us for being so thoughtful? I bet even the homeless people here are proud of their town."
             "That's funny honey, speaking of homeless people, the headline of today's Boulder Daily Camera reads "Homeless Gather to Thank Council People for new panhandling guidelines" According to Dick Martin, councilman spokesperson, the vote last week that banned panhandling in the medians of Boulder streets, is a true service to those vagrants.
