Reincarnation

             Reincarnation is one of the topics that I am torn apart in whether I should believe it or not. On one side you have a very nice idea that your loved one is always around, no matter if they are an animal, a human, or a plant. And on the other side you also have a very nice idea that your loved one is up in heaven resting eternally and that you will join them there soon.
             Unfortunately I had to make this decision myself not too long ago. My father passed away three years ago. I was sixteen years old at the time, and the whole thing came to me in a very shocking way. Most people have a clue that their loved one is sick and that it might be their time to go now, but that was not the case with my father. My father came home one day from work, sat down to eat dinner, and out of nowhere my mother and I heard a loud bang. We ran into the kitchen and found my father lying on the floor and he was dying at the age of forty-five. We could not do an autopsy because it is not allowed in my religion (Judaism), but what my family thinks is that he suffered a heart attack. The next year was very hard for me I could not cope with the fact that he was gone and that I was not going to see him again on this earth. I kept having dreams and seeing him in them. But after a year or more went by I told myself that I can not keep living in the past and that it is time to move on.
             Now that I convinced myself that he was gone I had to figure out where he is at right now. During this time in High School I had to read a book about life in India for my English class. In that book was when I first read about reincarnation. The idea sounded great to me. I liked the fact that you can imagine that a cat that just crossed the road or the baby that was in the stroller outside the store could be a reincarnated versions of my father. I was very happy when I found out about this, because it gave my mind some peace. It gave me a reason
