             Good Will Hunting is a movie which reflects conflict between various characters and in the characters. The main emphasis of the story is on the relationship between Sean and Will, two contrasting characters who have past wounds that emotionally paralyse them. The conflict in the film is used to establish the main ideas and key points of the film, as well as the relationships between the characters. There is the very obvious conflict in the film, such as the physical conflict of a street fight, and then there is the subtle conflicts, such as the personal conflict of the characters with their emotions and past experiences. Camera work plays the role of showing a scene in the most effective way it can to the audience, helping us feel what the characters are feeling or see what they are doing in the best way possible, while the music helps set and enhance the mood of a certain scene.
             An early and clear example of conflict takes place when Will and his friends visit the university bar. Will's friend Chuckie is trying to chat up Skylar, by pretending to have a class with her, when a student confronts him. As this student questions him about the class, Will watches in the background with interest, and the camera view makes a point of this. Before the student can make Chuckie look like a fool in front of Skylar, Will steps in and answers the challenge with a detailed and intelligent response, at the same time belittling the student. This further introduces Will to the audience, and gives us an idea of his capabilities as he adapts the knowledge and intelligence that could easily get him through university, to the 'lower-class' street life he has lived with his buddies.
