             Abercrombie and Fitch should be Able to Hire Anyone They Want to Work on Their Sales Floor
             Some people think the inner beauty of an individual is what really counts; in the corporate world; this is not true. Why is this not true? Because outer beauty and sex is what sells. Customers need to be attracted to the store in order for the store to make good sales. The key to attracting customers to a store is advertisement. It needs to advertise what the store is trying to sell; in the case of Abercrombie and Fitch,, it is an image. Therefore it would want to hire the best looking people it could find to work on its sales floor to fit that image. The sales associates are part of that store and part of the advertisement pertaining to it. Abercrombie and Fitch should be able to hire people that will help sell its product and not be under controversy or possibly have a lawsuit on its hands. It does not want unattractive, overweight people, nor does it want individuals that do not wear or look good in its style to be working on its sales floor.
             Abercrombie and Fitch has a certain image that it is trying to sell, as do all major name brand clothing retail stores. This look is the "all American look". The "all American look" in its definition is the Caucasian, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, surfing look. This is why at most Abercrombie and Fitch stores, the majority of all the sales associates are "athletic, privileged-looking, semi-clad coeds". (www.freetermpapers.com tp/27mul60.sthml ). Most of them are also young adults. This is the class of people that the store is trying to attract to buy its product. If customers see their "kind" of people working in the store, they will feel more comfortable to walk in and possibly make a purchase.
