Success

The definition of success is fluid because it oftentimes varies. Webster's dictionary defines success as "favorable or desired outcome...the attainment of wealth, favor, or eminence. In my opinion, the true meaning of success is to decide what it is you desire; and working diligently (your whole life if necessary) to achieve it. While part of success is being motivated and taking the necessary steps to reach your goals; success also includes being focused on interests and developing the necessary skills. All of this ensures success and that the desired result will occur. Success is not based on monetary gains alone; but on personal belief and value systems, and society.I feel that the definition of success depends on their personal belief and value system. Oftentimes, focus is placed on the end result instead of appreciating the small successes obtained at each stage. For example, one of my personal goals is to be a mechanical engineer. In my culture, family is valued. Part of success for men is being able to provide for his family.
