Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was a very important person in the history of slavery. She played a major role in helping free slaves. Harriet Tubman has made a difference in many slaves' lives. She was also a helpful and caring person. She held fundraisers and helped kids and adults with nowhere to go. Harriet Tubman was the conductor of the Underground Railroad. During a ten-year span she made 19 trips and freed over three hundred slaves. Also, in all of her trips she has never lost a single passenger. Everyone who attempted to escape through the Undergr


After that, Harriet moved into the house that the church built. During the civil war Harriet Tubman worked in the union as a nurse, a cook, and a spy. By 1856, the reward for the capture of Harriet Tubman was up to $40,000. This makes her a very caring person alone. The churched used the land to finish what Harriet Tubman started, and they built a church in 1908. After that she also purchased land to build a home in 1896 for needy and sick blacks. Of the many slaves that she freed, among them was her family. Harriet Tubman was the most well known conductor of the Underground Railroad. She was not able to raise enough money to build the house and she gave the land to the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. 300 people were saved because of her courage. She has saved many lives and freed many slaves. Harriet Tubman has made a difference in many people's lives, not only by freeing slaves. Many people look up to her and thank her very much for her accomplishments and her kindness.
