             Faith Community Hospital needs to reevaluate their operating costs before they get any further out of control. These increased costs may be caused by improper billing, misunderstanding of insurance payments, or a decrease in their patients. In the last year alone their per-patient daily expenses went from $217 to $240. The number of patients listed in a recent evaluation has dropped 7 percent since the time of the previous evaluation.
             There needs to be a better understanding of the different insurance agencies that Faith Community Hospital deals with. With all of the different HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, and Medicaid, each with their own billing procedures it is easy for a billing error to occur unless proper care is taken. Also, each insurance company has different policies with regards to which procedures are covered and under what circumstance different procedures are covered. Other factors in the costs include employees that do what they feel is right including providing free services while on company time and accepting unauthorized payment plans for prescriptions.
             The CEO and management also need to regroup the employees and make sure that the employees thoroughly understand and obey all of the operational procedures, standards, and core values of the organization.
