The two sides of a coin may have some similarities, but they have even more differences. In the same sense Batman is reflective of the sides of a coin. Batman possesses the vigilante outlaw attributes as he fights crime and takes actions, and ultimately the law into his own hands. When under his mask as Batman, he shows an alternate side that is dark and dangerous. This is further symbolized by his choice of color that is practically black in totality: black costume (with exception to bat sign), batmobile, and all the other gadgets he has to fight crime. And the existence of Batman is directly dependant upon Bruce, because Batman needs Bruce's money in order to have the batmobile, suit, gadgets, and other high tech equipment.
             The other side of Batman, Bruce Wayne, is in many ways reflective of the opposite attributes of Batman. Bruce is in many ways more law abiding than Batman. Bruce is more self-restrained and very much an intricate part of the community, whereas Batman is rarely seen with anyone else besides villains. Another opposite is the style of living; Batman's lifestyle is portrayed in a dark cave with bats lurking around everywhere, and Bruce is reflected through a very nice mansion with high class surroundings. Also the form of transportation as Bruce always sits in the back of his limo when going somewhere, always being transported by his driver. On the other hand when he is Batman he takes action himself as he drives the Batmobile. Being that Batman operates during the night, and Bruce only operates during the day we are able to see how the two sides contrast and also how they are similar. On the similarities perspective, they prove to be very knowledgeable, arrogant, and calculated in either image.
