Animal Rights

             Animal Rights must be protected. There is no excuse for the way animals are being treated. There are many problems that have to be confronted, now and in the future. Some problems, like animal abuse, and why a pets owner feels the need to hit them. Puppy mills are where there is a large amount of damage done to the animals, just to produce more unhealthy animals. Factory farming occurs when an animal such as a cow has to live in a very unsanitary condition, everyday. One of the most well known types of animal abuse is Entertainment in Animals; there is no reason for animals to be the source of our entertainment, especially when they are being treated as badly as they are. We can see though these actions that, if humans are willing to treat the helpless like this, we can only imagine how we can treat people with a voice and an opinion.
             A puppy mill is described as a breeding operation in which dogs are repeatedly bred for financial gain and are kept in substandard conditions (www.nopuppymillscanada.ca). If you were to ask an organization like The Humane Society, they would say a puppy mill
             is an unsanitary place full of disease and is an unhealthy lifestyle for any pet (www.ospca.ca).
             In Appendices A, you can see how small and crowded the cages that these animals live in are (see appendices A). The fact of the matter is, that the vast majority of puppy mills are unsanitary and humans truly do not treat their animals with the care that they deserve, you don't see a vast number of humans all caged up, so there is no reason to see dogs and cats in this condition.
