How do you do? I am very excited to be writing to you today because I just read an amazing book. There is a new book out on the market called Twelve Years a Slave, an autobiography written by a fellow named Soloman Northup. I have found what we were looking for and perfect proof to support us in our fight against slavery. This is our chance to abolish slavery, once and for all. I am sure of it this time. " His tone in this letter gives a sense of fear and an attempt to make the abolitionists feel reassured. Epps and the children watched from the porch. Warner argued that "We have already said that all men are born equal-that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among which are life, LIBERTY and the pursuit of happiness. They beat their slaves endlessly, and at times, even for pleasure to see them suffering.
