Forest Gump Movie Review
I felt that the movie was an excellent depiction of the life of anindividual that had some challenges to overcome. The beginning of themovie illustrated to the viewer the type of person that Forest was and howhe felt as a child. The middle of the movie exposed the challenges hefaced as an adolescent and the end of the move demonstrated his ability to I went through a myriad of emotions as I viewed this movie. At timesI was saddened by the way that Forest was treated and at other times Imarveled at his sense of humor. In the end I was reassured and gladdenedby the triumphant attitude of Forest Gump. I was also encouraged by theattitude of Jenny and her ability to see past Forests' disabilities and see There is definitely a connection between the movie and my own life.For instance, there are many obstacles that I have had to overcome and Iwas often misunderstood by my peers, just as Forest was. Additionally,Forest never let other people define him and neither do I. If I couldchoose a character to be it would be Jenny. Jenny is the quintessentialwoman of the story. She does not allow other peoples opinions to dictate
Theauthor showed the audience the purity of Forest's heart and the unwaveringloyalty of Jenny. It alsoseems that the name added to his humiliation and caused others not to taehim seriously. In addition, therewere parts of the book that were not represented in the movie. In addition, there are scenes that deal withsexuality and there are also some violent scenes. I think that this was a quintessential movie that spoketo the underdog in all of us. I would like to acquire the trait of optimism that Forestpossesses. The only other peoplethat should not watch this movie are those that do not want their attitudesabout the disabled to be changed. In fact in many instances throughout themovie Jenny is the only one that appears to be Forest's friend. The fist timethat I saw the movie the plot of the story was a bit confusing because thestory takes place over so many years. Sometimes in life we have to abandon our inhibitions and follow ourpassions and the words "run Forest run" remind us of this. Likewise, there are several things that I knownow that I did not know before reading the book and seeing the movie; forexample, the book gave more details about Forest' life. Finally, I would like to ask him how long it took to write thestory. In the future I would definitely want to see more movies that arewritten by this particular author.
