This issue has come about as a result of society's changing viewpoints, which now calls for women to be given equal righ
The RCC needs to realise that by excluding women from the ministerial priesthood, they are trying to fit a 2000 year old system of beliefs into a prevailing society that does not accept prejudice towards any race or gender. My opinion would be that women would not be allowed to join the ministerial priesthood of RCC. So there has been no really serious ordination of women to the priesthood. " So hence, women that have been able to be part of the RCC, are denied the vocation to serve Christ, but are allowed serve those that are. The RCC bases their whole system of beliefs on a society 2000 years ago, that had extremely different ethical views and cultural ties to that of the contemporary society we live in today. The hypothesis of this analytical field study is that women should be allowed to join the ministerial priesthood within the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). I can also say that women are not denied the goodness of the church, for example we have Mary the Mother of God, Catherine of sienna, Saint Scholastica, and Saint blessed Mary Mackillop. Matt: Do you agree with the recent excommunication of the ordained women. As times change, so do social and cultural beliefs. The situation the RCC has put forward is the basis of prejudice towards women in a contemporary society. The RCC blatantly denies this fact; they say the only reason to the non-allowance of women to join the ministerial priesthood is due to Jesus' reservation for men only to be his disciples. I do know however, that recently in Germany, a bishop ordained two women, but this wasn't in communion with the pope or Rome.
