The organization considered for this project is a engineering consultingcompany performing for non-destructive testing (NDT). The company's roleis to inspect refineries, petroleum storage facilities and petroleumprocessing facilities (pipelines). It is assumed that the company will beestablished in Texas where the requirements for these services are in highdemand. During the initial stages, the organization will concentrate itsefforts in the contiguous geographical regions of the U.S. Once thecompany has established itself and has generated a stable client base inthe U.S., the company may consider operations globally. The time line setfor the global operation will be approximately 5-8 years after the An organization of this nature requires highly skilled labor and expertworkers. Constant improvements and maintenance repairshave to be conducted in order to maintain a competitive market-edge inpricing and productivity. Training for all teamsmembers at the start of the organization will have to be provided. The drilling rigs, platforms and cranes are also subjectto severe climatic stain and stress. While the petroleum industry is considered a big business, theinspection and consulting companies doing NDT are often spin off from thelarger petroleum companies. Determining course of operations: The extraction and recovery of crude oil is a complex and difficultprocess. It is very helpful when theinspection companies can create project plans for inspection and testing ofthe critical and constrained equipment within the industry and at the sametime provide the appropriate and required maintenance.
