             The information was created in 1988, the information is still up to date because most of it is research done from previous years, and is mostly proven facts. The source is repeating second-hand information from various sources. I believe that the intended audience is students, or anyone else looking for research. The information is presented to show the facts they know, gathered from 20 different sources and put into subheadings.
             Emotionally charged words are not used in this piece but there are many words that seem to confuse the reader. Many of these words could be replaced with words that are simpler and much less confusing. The facts are used to support theories that have already been proved. I believe that they used all the facts and did not omit some to create a bias. This piece does not sway my opinion because it is just stating facts. I do not believe that the topic was oversimplified at all; the researchers used many different sources and refer to many books and journals previously written.
             The author is W.E. Jeffrey and he attended University of California. The information is not citied but at the end of the piece there is a bibliography of the 20 or more sources he used.

             The information from this piece was written in July of 1992. The information is a bit outdated because all of there statistics are from 12 years ago. They also refer back to a report that was done in 1984. The article is written second-hand with a few comments from a psychologist; most of what is said is statistics and a problem in Alberta. The author of this article is just writing of what psychologist think of children abusing children, and what the community thinks of it. The intended audience is for parents with younger kids.
