Controversy of Harry Potter

J.K.Rowling has taken half the world by her vast imagination from her book, "Harry Potter". There are yet few people who have not read the book and not appreciated it as well. While millions have found a positive approach towards this story, there are some parents who have raised an objection towards this creativity, fearing that it maybe leading their children in the way of harmfulness. We have discussed the story's strong views and the message it portrays for school going Controversy of Harry Potter Harry Potter created quite a stir around the world after the first two released in Sept 1998 and June 1999, respectively, shortly followed by series in Sept 1999. Instantly, J.K.Rowling (Joanne Kathleen Rowling) an overnight success through her vast imagination, attracting half the her inventive domain, by the name of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A school where children with special powers are sent to their "magical powers" and learn about wizardry.

Every school teaches their students to score for the best and how to compete in every field, exams and sports. Traveling through the Harry Potter's life, there are games of chess and the much sought after ,Quidditch Match. The parents feel that " they should guard the children to be against the Word of God" and nurture them towards becoming better citizens. While "wizard of Oz" took the children inside a fantasy land full of adventures, "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" makes the children feel a part of Harry's circle of friends and their adventures. While these stories take the small children into a fantasy land, Hogwarts School seems to hold the regulation of any other school with its professors and students. Rowling has won the hearts of many through her famous characters. Each of her five series seems to be opening doors for new characters, but as we go further it takes us on another lane where the character has a strong connection, which we had left behind and paid little importance. Every school has rules, so does Hogwarts, and strictly observed too, including detentions and punishments for breaking the rules. Rowling has proved to be one of the most inventive authors of the 21st century. A place he's never heard of and the powers he's unaware exists within himself, yet the thought that any place could be better then the torture den he's forced to live in, makes him travel into the wizardry with the help of his giant friend, Hagrid. The book takes a turning point when he receives a letter from a school known as " Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry", asking him to get registered. What harm can such an imaginative story do to a child, instead of taking him away from his 'video games' which is more harmful in the destruction of a mind then a pleasant reading hour. The book takes you on an adventurous ride inside the magical world, where every imaginative fantasy about the witches and the wizards seems to come alive. Children these days are more inventive, they like building characters and have more freedom to let their imaginations run wild.
