Paradise is a Beach
Sure, everyone thinks Hawaii is a paradise, and it is. Beautifulswaying palms trees, long stretches of white and black sand beaches, andwarm, tropical breezes day and night. Hawaii is a paradise, but there ismore to Hawaii. It's a special beach, off the beaten path and hard to getto that is the real paradise of Hawaii, and that beach is Secluded Beach in Lush, emerald, and quiet, that's Secluded Beach. You can stretch outon the pristine golden-white sand while listening to the pounding ofrhythmic waves lapping at the shore, just a few feet from your tanned andcontented toes. That rhythmic washing of the waves is the perfect sound tolull your senses into a deep and untroubled sleep, and when you awake, youfeel fully refreshed and alive, for the first time in months. The air hasthe tang of salty freshness that only comes from the ocean, and the birdswarble and chirp in the dense foliage that surrounds this magical and emptybeach. Having the beach to yourself is a treat anywhere, but in Hawaii, having a pristine beach to yourself is a miracle, and that is only one
Take a walk along the shore and you can see bits and pieces of shellswashed up from the reef offshore. Thesand glows in the rising glow of the moon, and the waves have an eeriegreen glow to them, you can watch them as they glide in to break aroundyour ankles. Bleached white from the unrelentingtropical sun, they find their way into a pocket as a reminder of thispeaceful time. I feel my strains and stresses leaving me,in fact, I can almost see them hovering above my eyes as they disappearinto the amazingly azure sky above me. I can smell the vivid scent ofsalt and sea, and hear the reverberating cries of the gulls as they circleover my beach, searching for a morsel and a landing spot. Dinner canwait, the ocean calls me, and I listen intently to her soft, beseechingcall. I am like a man at the top of his game, at thepinnacle of his profession, and yet, I have no stresses, other than turningover to tan evenly, and wondering what is on the menu for tonight's gourmetdinner. I cannot wait for nextyear, and my return to paradise. A cloud or two amble past, as Iclose my eyes and allow myself to drift in and out of contentedconsciousness. The sounds from the trees aresubdued, and the island seems to be heading for slumber. Later, when I'm back at home, I'll feel them and look atthem occasionally to remember my beautiful Secluded Beach. Sunset is the best time in my little corner of paradise. I sit on the tiny porch of my cabin, and sip a glass ofwine as the sun disappears below the waves.
