WITH OUR EYES SHUT analysis
"With our eyes shut" is an interesting short poem by Spanish award winningpoet, Octavio Paz (1914-1998). During suchmoments, our minds can create almost any image of the world. Paz appears to believe that love and beauty reside within ourminds and when we close our eyes, we give entire control of our senses toour mind, which creates beautiful images for us, and help us see the beautyin the world around us. The image has now become clearer and it has become almost tangible. He has carvedthe image to perfection and his beloved has become a larger than lifefigure for him.
