Globalization is an apparent concern in our world today. Not only are countries trading goods and conducting business with one another, they are also exchanging cultures and religious beliefs on some levels. While there are still many drastic differences between the developed countries and the undeveloped countries in the world, many believe that the intermingling of the two is inevitable. In order for the world to continue trading goods and ideas on the grand scale that is doing so on now, many compromises and agreements are going to have to be met. Because America is the world's leader in economy, will it be the country to lead the way and make all others to adjust to the "American Way" of life? Or will it be the American culture that needs to adjust to the way that other countries conduct business, cultural, and religious matters? Will all of this Globalization lead to the need for one-world government? It would appear so. In order for the world to unite under one system many changes are needed. The problems with globalization lay with the differing religions throughout the world. The US sought to stimulate economic growth in Western Europe and Japan by providing them free access to its markets; and in turn, eliminating potential military conflicts with either. This cheap labor allowed the Core countries to increase their capital; but, while it brought some work to the laboring nations, it did little to improve their quality of life. Wealth frees the world's poorest people from the daily struggle for survival, and allows them to embrace, celebrate and share the art, music, crafts and literature that might otherwise have been sacrificed to poverty. The fact that the world has become so globalized has given reason for organizations to regulate the finances and labor force on a global level. It created NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) to institutionalize its military dominance over Western Europe (Alam, 2003, p. Globalization has helped cultures to be exchanged. Women would have to become much more educated (as would many men) on what there potential is, as well as the potential of a society that values everyone in it. The people only knew there own country's religion, not knowing anything about the beliefs of others all over the world. International laws have been implemented to ensure fair trading practices and better social programs for the world's poor. Some are still expected to stay home and care for children and other household duties.
