Women Rights
Women rights have gained greater attention with feminist activities and call for liberation of women. The consistent and gradual erosion of patriarchic system is the only way true liberation can be attained. Jean Jacques Rousseau one of the most respected names in philosophy felt that women must prepare themselves in such a way that their only purpose should be to please a man. At one point, talking about duties of women, he rights: "If woman is made to please and to be subjugated to man, she ought to make herself pleasing to him rather than to provoke him; her particular strength lies in her charms; by their means she should compel him to discover his own strength and put it to use.
