Pharmacy: Improvement
My dream is to become a certified pharmacy technician. To improve my knowledge of the field, I have continued working in a pharmacy while obtaining my bachelor's degree with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. I have deliberately been working hard in the area I love best, yet finding time to attend classes and work on a degree that will eventually qualify me to know even more about my chosen profession. In receiving my B.A., I hope to qualify for the pharmacy college of my choice. I have already achieved some of the goals I have set out to
This is a fascinating field for me and I look forward to future science classes. I have a feeling that I am going to enjoy being a technician as much as I enjoy studying about Chemistry and the field of Pharmacy. I have been reviewing my previous notes from science courses to prepare myself for future classes. To improve myself I have been helping a licensed pharmacist perform routine tasks, such as finding certain medications for clients, looking up insurance numbers, counting tablets and helping to stock the supplies used by the pharmacist (Penn 1). I have enjoyed my college career thus far and have found that there is a lot to learn. I have learned about "shadowing" as a behavior technique that may help me during the interview, and how to dress and behave properly, as well as when and how to thank the interviewer as a follow-up. I have thought about where I would like to be in five years, for instance, as that is what many interviewers like to ask. I have learned how to respond to the tough kinds of questions which are asked in an interview and what kinds of questions to ask the interviewer. I hope some day to become nationally certified, which will allow me to start working closely with a licensed pharmacist. Upon the advice of my admission representative, I am improving on my interviewing skills, as I have researched what I might do to improve my techniques and am practicing them. master, and I look forward to tackling those remaining in order to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
