Personal Essay for Science Related Career
Parents often feel overwhelmed once their wonderful and talented offspring have to choose a career. The root of the problem is often not as much a lack of choices as it is a lack of understanding in which choice would be best. I am happy to say that there is no such problem in my household. Early in my high school career it became apparent that I would do best in a science-related career.In addition to always obtaining high grades in all my science classes, I also enjoy them. I am hard working and responsible in both my work and studies. This is why I feel the pharmacological direction is an adequate combination of the elements that I most enjoyed at school. One of my ideals in life is to unearth the scientific mysteries of the chemical, biological and numerical worlds, along with helping people live better, happier, and healthier lives. All these subjects provides the researcher with the tools to understand the world in which we live, and to make a difference in the lives that we touch. For the reasons above, I feel that both my work ethic and interpersonal skills will make me an asset to the school who accepts me to its program. Because I enjoyed my work and environment, I was able to bring the work ethic cultivated at school to my work in the pharmacy as well. My work at the pharmacy taught me not only interpersonal skills and the application of my scientific knowledge, but also a thorough work ethic. , I most enjoy classes such as chemistry, biology, and mathematics. I like both the challenge offered by the complexities of mathematics and chemistry, as well as the knowledge offered into the human body that I gained via biology. For this reason, I worked at a pharmacy store at the age of 17, and found that my hopes were confirmed: I enjoyed both the application of academic knowledge and my work with the customers.
