Listening is one of the skills mankind has possessed since its beginnings, but it is only in the contemporaneous context that they understood the real implications of proper listening within the highly competitive business community. The first stage refers solely to hearing what the speaker is saying and being able to reproduce it, without any other thoughts in one's mind. Listening is man's innate ability, but to succeed in life, he must constantly develop it as to ensure a most effective interaction and reaction to the surrounding environment. Improving the ultimate outcome of the listening process could be achieved by an implementation of the following suggestions:maintaining constant eye contact with the speaker in order to remain focused on the respective situationfocusing on the content of the information delivered, rather than the way it is being delivered, which could also distract the listenerremaining objective and open minded without getting emotionally involved, as this often leads to the listener only hearing what they want to hearavoiding distractions in all of their forms, including noises on the street, the voices of other people in the vicinity or the too low or too high room temperatureconcentrating on the actual information delivered and trying to interpret it in various ways; in other words, listening should be assimilated to a challenging mental taskasking mental questions as to remain focused and activefinally, the listener should realize that he thinks faster than the speaker talks, therefore, he is able to use this gap to foresee what the speaker will say or any other features regarding the information being delivered (University of Minnesota Duluth, 2006). The best way to master the learning skill is to understand the main concepts that revolve around it. You might think, "Maybe this means that the pattern of stripes is different for each zebra" (Info Please, 2008). I think this seems believable" (Info Please, 2008). "When you hear that no two are alike, think about what that might mean. If you can repeat the fact, then you have heard what has been said" (Info Please, 2008). "For example, say you were listening to a report on zebras, and the speaker mentioned that no two are alike. The understanding stage refers to taking what one has heard out of its context and interpreting it in their own way. For instance, there are three stages that occur in the real listening process: hearing, understanding and judging. Finally, the third stage of the listening process, judging, occurs once the listener has fully understood the speaker and is now himself trying to analyze if what he has heard makes any sense.
