little red riding hood

I have based this first task on the story of Little Red Riding Hood, adapting it to entertain and humour a more mature audience than the original fairy tale. The most obvious example of this is my use of pun in the title and name of the main character - "Little Red Riding Wood". Another way I have aimed this at an older audience is by introducing adult references and themes, as well as slightly more complex language. The following quote shows this:- "Her only possessions were her clothes, her knee-high black boots, and her horde of makeup; her only friends the street-wise members of the homeless community."
Once upon a time in the heart of Sydney lived the most beautiful girl the streets of Kings Cross had ever seen. Cast from her home at the young age of 15, she moved from foster home to foster home, never leading a life that would be seen as the acceptable norm by you or I. Her only possessions were her clothes, her knee-high black boots, and her horde of makeup; her only friends the street-wise members of the homeless community. By the time she reached the age of 18, she had learned that there were two ways for a girl such as herself to make enough money to stay alive. Drugs, and sex. And so the young woman came to be known as Little Red Riding Wood.
One fateful October evening, Little Red Riding Wood's "boss" notified her of a call he had received from a new client. This was a regular occurrence, as Little Red Riding Wood was quite sought after as an "escort". The major drawback of her occupation was that the majority of the men she "escorted" were not the most desirable of creatures. However, upon being shown a photograph of this new client, Little Red Riding Wood set out immediately to go to Wolfenske (which was the name he provided), who lived in another village. She took with her a whip and some handcuffs, and other assorted items which she hid away in the briefcase she carried with her.
