             1. What are at least two ethical issues associated with psychological testing? What impact do these issues have on the field of psychological testing?
             Some of the most popular ethical issues regarding to psychological testing revolve around the bias factor. This could be administering bias, data entry bias or participant bias. Administering bias is when the person conducting the testing either has a bias about the participant and then changes the questions or then eliminates some participants based upon this bias. In the past, it has been linked to racial and socio-economic differences between the person administering and the participant. An example of administering bias is a school psychological assessment conducted by the psychologist who is employed by the school. The school bias may then factor into the assessment. Another instance of potential administering bias would be when the evaluation is funded by the parents or another third party (Koocher, G). Ethically, there should be no difference in the school psychologist's behavior towards the participant or in the results, regardless of the participant's race, socio-economic status, etc... For this reason, third party administers or anonymous results are being used more and more.
             Another ethical issue associated with psychological testing is dealing with informed consent. Informed consent involves supplying the full information about what the test will entail to the participant: such as the purpose of the test, who will have access to the results, any risks to participants, and any costs or charges to them (Koocher, G). Psychologist, researchers, or even assessment administers sometimes may just want to get the test over with due to time constraint or availability, and then may forget to mention all the parts of the test, thus not allowing the participant to make a formal and informed decision to continue.
