My experience in the forests

             All the students get bored of studying in the school. So they need an outing like a trip or a picnic. When I was in Class III, my school organized a trip to Manali. I was delighted and joined it. There were 77 students and 4 teachers in all. I bought tinned Cold Drinks and packets of chips for the journey.
             We all reported in the school at 7 a.m. on 17th June. We left Mussoorie at 8 o clock and started for Manali in two different buses. We all enjoyed on our way. It took about 7 hours to reach there. After reaching there we took shower and had our lunch. Then we rested for an hour in our Hotel. The hotel was situated near a forest. In the evening when we were playing in the hotel ground, I suddenly saw some pine trees at a distance loaded with pinecones. Seeing them I became tempted to collect some of them. So, I took a shawl and a knife to cut them and I quickly went into the forest. I found one or two lying on the ground. In the hope of finding more pinecones I kept on going deep into the forest.
             But then suddenly, I heard the roar of a Lion. I ran at full speed in the opposite direction into the forest. Exhausted and very scared, I climbed up a tall tree. I looked around myself; there were only trees and trees. I then realized that I was lost in this unknown forest. Now it was beginning to get dark and cold. I began to shiver, I wrapped the shawl that I had bought to collect pinecones around myself. Soon I felt asleep on the tree. In the morning, when I woke up I came down very scared. I cried bitterly. I knew I was lost there, but I still had fortitude in me. I decided to explore the forest. A range of mountains surrounded the place. I was very hungry; I found some wild berries and ate them.
