Defensive Specialist
Be all you can be, a motto that we very often try to live by here in America. The Land of Opportunity as some calls it, where there are numerous ways for citizens to display their love and passion for what they believe in. Football is one of the many outlets that Americans used to release the feelings of young men and even women, believe it or not, all over the world, particularly on the defensive side of the ball where the main ideals are determination and tenacity. Non-the-less there are a few skills required to be combined with those ideals in order to be called a great player. Being a stellar defensive player can be somewhat of a difficult, but through extensive practice at each of the three assets of a defensive player a true warrior will eventually become one the great few. Yes, football is a sport that can be enjoyed by both sexes, but it is not recommended for those who do not enjoy physical contact. In order to be properly protected pads and a helmet are required. A complete set of Riddell pads, which is the most widely used brand, will probably cost about anywhere from $300-450 depending on the size. Tackle football is a sport that is to mainly be enjoyed by young, healthy athletes and should not be attempted
The juke is probably the most effective because it has no predetermined motions. In order to become a complete cover player the athlete should be able to play and man defense, this means he should know how much cushion to give, when to hip up, and whose eyes he should read. Reading the eyes is another coverage exercise that can be used in both zone and man coverage. by those who are at certain health risk or are past the age that they would truly feel comfortable running around or being knocked down. The is simply lowering your shoulders and turning them toward the sideline to minimize total body area, then, punching past the blocker while stepping through with the punch as aggressively as possible. Another important aspect of this game called football is the tackling. When trying to find a model for this people such as Warren Sapp, Bill Romanowski, and Mike Doss come to mind because they are literally the best at it. For the most part, in zone coverage you simply buzz in your area and read the quarterback's eyes. The swim move, which is most often used by defensive linemen and blitzing cornerbacks, can also, be used to avoid blocks. Usually this works out in the defender's favor on long routes such as the fade and post. There are also positions that should be considered based on speed, strength, and size. The first major part of defensive greatness is the ability to get off blocks. With lots of practice the athlete will eventually get the hang of this somewhat complex process. For the most part becoming a stellar defensive player is no piece of cake, but with persistent perseverance and continuous hard work nearly any athlete can eventually develop greatness. So if a person is not really into football then he should find something that he can dedicate his self to and stop at nothing for that dream.
