Your Life Purpose

             People all over the world had barely enough time to recover from the impact of the US-Iraq war when another equally devastating phenomenon hit them like the tornado that recently hit Kansas, sweeping anyone and anything that comes along its path.
             I am talking about the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome or SARS. In China alone, where the dreaded virus was reported to have originated, hundreds or people have died and more are dying. In the Philippines, drug stores are running out of vitamin supply because a lot of people are buying vitamins believing that these can prevent the attack of SARS.
             It is alarming to know that it only takes a single microorganism to wipe out an entire nation and eventually an entire world. Society says man is gifted with a great mind. He can come up with the greatest scientific and technological tool imaginable but oftentimes society forgets that behind man's great mind is God.
             Man, despite his great mind and skill, is still human and as such, has weaknesses. WHO medical technologists are trying to come up with a cure for SARS but so far, they met with failure or uncertainty.
             As Christians, what do you think God is telling us in lieu of these phenomena? Remember there is a reason behind every thing. God simply did not tell Moses to build an ark without a reasonable reason.
             As obedient Children of God, we don't have the right to question God's motives in our lives. We just leave everything to His care knowing that He knows what is best for us.
             Man, made mighty by the grace of God, oftentimes forgets that important fact on the face of fame and fortune. God uses calamities to send a message to mankind. Man needs a good shaking sometimes to wake up and realize his mistake and foolhardiness. So many Christians are brought to their knees when great turbulence befall them. They need to be reminded that God owns their lives.
