Eleanor Roosevelt
Have you ever hear about those people that something bad happens to them or they just have a horrible childhood and never recover to become " normal " again. Well, Eleanor Roosevelt had a horrible childhood, but she didn't let that affect the amazing person she became. Her mother hated her, and her father, the only person she felt cared about her, died. She was then sentenced to live with her grandmother, who sent her off to boarding school in England. Now if that isn't a bad way to start life, I don't know what is. Don't worry though because things soon took a turn for the best at boarding school. Anna Eleanor was born on October 11, 1884, in New York City. Her parents were Elliot Roosevelt and Anna Ludlow Hall Roosevelt. Theodore Roosevelt, the former President of the United States of America, was her godfather. She also had two younger brothers. Eleanor went by the name Eleanor instead of Anna (which was only used in legal matters). Eleanor found out too early in life that life isn't always fair and not every thing was going to go her way, or in her case nothing was going to go her way. After returning, Eleanor lived with her cousin, Susie Parish and her husband, Henry Parish Jr. Many people said that "Franklin's first responsibility was to his mother instead of Eleanor. Someone once noted that" Franklin's love of Eleanor was real, but her closeness to the immediate family of the man he admired most on earth must have been an important part of her doorway. In December of 1945, Eleanor was given a job as one of the U. Mom, a name most people cherish, she couldn't love that name the way most do because her mother hated her. Franklin was twenty-three years old and Eleanor was only twenty. Eleanor once described her father as "He dominated my life as long as he lived and was the love of my life for many years after he died. This incident only became public in 1968, fifty years later.
