aftermath of 9/11

Terrorism has become a huge problem in the world today, you can see it everyday in the news and when it happens it seems to change our everyday life dramatically. On September 11, 2001 a terrorist organization know as Al-Qaeda put in motion the largest terrorist attack against the United States of America ever. Al-Qaeda which is lead by Osama Bin Laden, planned to hijack several civilian airplanes and crash them into multiple buildings on American soil. On 8:46 am on the morning of September 11, 2001 Flight 11, which was one of the hijacked planes slammed into the north World Trade Centre Tower and several minutes later flight 175 another civilian aircraft crashed into the south world trade centre tower. 2,752 people were killed on September 11, 2001 making it the largest terrorist attack against the United Sates of America ever. Many things were affected because of the 9/11 attacks and the changes were dramatic. As a result to the attacks of 9/11 the price of crude oil had risen, American security policies became very strict, and President George W. Bush declared war on terrorism. A major effect as a result of the 9/11 attacks was that the price of crude oil had risen. Iraq a major supplier to North Ame

The world had become afraid of everyone else and everyone felt like they couldn't trust another human being. Now it is very rare to see a gas station with its prices under 70 cents. After the 9/11 attacks the security in airports had risen so much and people became terrified to fly anywhere because everyone was afraid that their plane would be hijacked. At the beginning of 2003 the price of crude oil had risen by more then $10 a barrel which has a huge effect on North America which relies on automotive transportation to live everyday life. Security was also now being put on every plane so that if something was to happen again they could take the threat out. Gas prices now have made it impossible for some people to drive at all. If you wanted to fly anywhere you had to be prepared to go through hours of random searches by airport security personnel and long line ups of people getting scanned for any sort of weapon. Prices at the pump have jumped dramatically over the past few years. America invaded Iraq and the war had begun, Full attention was put on the war and once again the news was stuffed with up to date reports on the war. It became a nightmare to travel anywhere or get into any government building in America. Before the attacks you would never have seen a gas station over 55 cents a litre. During 9/11 almost every channel had the attacks on without commercial breaks, CNN which is considered the worlds most recognized news station had the attacks and everything to do with the attacks on its stations for weeks after it took place. After the attacks the price of crude oil started to rise and is still on the rise because of the War on terrorism. Everything that happens in the world today has a great impact on everyday life. The attacks of September 11th, 2001 were a terrible event and ruined many peoples lives.
