Is the U.S. a violent country?

Is the United States a violent country? This is the hardest question I ever had to answer. People never really think about a kind of question like this until someone asks them. According to Michael Moore United States is violent, but according to me, United States has some pros and cons when it comes to violence.

To me it all depends on what kind of perspective a person is looking at. I feel that violence in the United States is functional when it comes to military and government issues. Unites States have to be violent in order to protect the country and keep our superior status as a country. When it comes to defending the United States property, liberty, rights and people, war and gun violence is essential. In today’s society there is no such thing as negotiating. So, violence is sometimes necessary and positive when it comes to protecting what our country stands for, which is freedom of choice. We the people do not want to fight with other countries, but sometimes it is crucial that citizens fight. War and self-defence is the only time that a person should have to use violence. War and self-defense are the only times when violence becomes a pro.

On the other hand, when individuals participate in violent attempts that are not

. . .
So many people die in a year due to gun violence. United States has a lot of violence that stems from the media, politicians, etc. politically and morally correct such as murder, homicide, racial violence, gun violence etc. Some people think that guns are a necessity to have at home, which is really not true. Michael Moore documentary demonstrated a whole story about how violent United States was in the past and is now. I think homicide is the most prevalent violence in the United States. Violence is violence no matter what type of violence it is. Kids are very impressionable and they are the number one source that will play with a gun because they seen it on television or think they look cool. The boys that committed the columbine killings might have picked up the gun and attempted to shot because of their background, environment, household or even psychological reasons. There should also be more programs and hotlines that people could go to, to explain the type of problems they are having so they will not have so much hate, enough hate to kill, discriminate or even harm an individual. Michael Moore’s documentary just showed the half of United States problems.

There is so much in society that can influence people to do something harmful. Every corner of the street there is a murder occurring.
