The Technology Worker
The technology worker has replaced the assembly line worker in manufacturing. Thetechnology worker is also prevalent in all other aspects of our economy. As a professional, the technology worker expects to be consulted as a part of a decision team as opposed to being treated as one at the bottom of a hierarchy.
Most of the jobs in the United States are in medium sized firms, according to the National Alliance of Business. General training in the use of software is beneficial, but the specific training must come from the company itself. High performance work organization requires that the employer relinquish some decision-making authority to the worker.
