The Un-TV Experiment

             Part 1-Counting the technical events
The first show I watched while counting the technical events for ten minutes was an episode of Friends. Within those ten minutes, I counted 82 technical events, which to say the least, was a shock since I was only expecting to have counted 50 within that short period. Even though I counted 82, I am not even sure if I had gotten them all because there were so many. This of course occurred to me that perhaps that was the intention behind the many technical events, to prevent viewers thinking about what was presented before their eyes, but rather pushed into watching TV with passivity.
