             For this paper, I will be discussing some of the motivational strategies use at DMA/T, which stands for Digital Mirror Assembly and Test, one of the digital divisions at Texas Instruments, were I am currently assign. DMA/T is one of the newest divisions at Texas Instruments, and is known for their innovative pilot programs that are geared towards employee excellence, satisfaction and motivation. As a result, our division yields the lowest employee turn over ratio, company wide. I will discuss other issues such as: Organizational efforts to improve performance, employees' resistance to increasing productivity, and the management's motivation philosophy and practices.
             This division of Texas Instruments is in charge of manufacturing digital devices that are used in High Definition Television sets, Flat Panel Television sets and Projector Screens. Companies such as Magnavox, Samsung, Sony and IMAX Theaters, heavily rely in the use of this technology. Our job in DMA/T is to manufacture, assemble, test and ship these devices to our customers. Currently, Texas Instruments own must of the market for these devices, since they were the inventors of this technology. However, there will be newcomers in to the market in the next few years, as the patent for this technology will soon become public.
             Texas Instruments has a philosophy that all employees must learn from the time that we are hire to the time that we retire: In order for our company to be successful, our employees need to be successful in every facet of their lives. Excellence is achieved by being successful as an individual and a valuable team member at Texas Instruments. When a member falls behind, is our responsibility and duty as TIer and team members to support our comrades and to be sure that he/she is back were they needed to be.
