             A Drink Could Kill
             Along with being deadly, drinking and driving is a personal hit on an individual and a way to disrespect authority. For these reasons, drinking and driving needs to be punished by the permanent removal of the driver's licence.
             By permanently revoking a driver's licence from a drinking and driving perpetrator, millions of lives can be saved. Driving under the influence impairs the driver's judgement and therefore cannot react quickly enough in situations. By not being able to react quickly to a red light or stop sign, a collision may result and many may die. Newspaper headlines and TV broadcasts announce at least one death, resulting from drinking and driving, every night! There are many causes of death, yet the number one cause of death in North America is drunk driving.
             Not only does drinking and driving kill, it also affects the lives of the drivers. Almost one in five drivers gets into an accident. The accident may not have been fatal, yet it still does make an impact. Alcohol abuse is not much of an "elegant" affair. Driving drunk also shows a lot of irresponsibility. If people find out about an individual drinking and driving, that individual may lose a lot of respect from family members, friends and coworkers. In extreme cases, may even lose their jobs.
             The reasons for this kind of rule (do not drink and drive), is not a way for authority figures to ruin the fun of the community; it is for the community's own safety. Human nature on the other hand, has a tendency to disrespect or disobey authority and therefore, young adults or anyone else, tries to break the rules. Human nature is also, what makes the mind of teens and young adults think that they know better than the law and deliberately disobey it.
