This is healthy, as some students may either be in need of compassion or simply enjoy watching the development of such friendships. Although the use of poison may be suggestive to students with negative ideas, is also outlines the consequences of such a tragic and destructive action. Some students may feel a sense of 'belonging' whilst interpreting this friendship. The friendship between Mercutio and Romeo was so strong and meant so much to them that it was worth risking their lives for. in front of the church!
