             At the beginning of the play the Norwegian army and the Scottish army were in a titanic battle with each other.
             The Norwegian army out numbered the Scots by ten to one.
             The Scottish army were better organized and have very fearsome and brave general called Macbeth together with his right hand man banquo they and the armies of the Scottish wiped out the Norwegian rebellion mean while the traitor who was the thane of cawdor has had his title stripped of him and is going to be given to macbeth for his bravely in battle "all hail Macbeth".
             In the second scene of the play as Banquo and Macbeth ride home from the battle they are met by three witches who exclaim to him and banquo three prophesies to Macbeth they say
             "All hail Macbeth thane of glams"
             " All hail Macbeth thane of cawdor"
             "All hail Macbeth who shall be king here after"
             To Banquo he says "shall be less happier than Macbeth but much happier" and then before there eyes the witches simply vanish into the mist and Banquo and Macbeth are left again all on there own.
             Macbeth and Banquo first do not believe the witches prophesies but then a messenger from the king arrives telling Macbeth that he has been given the title thane of cawdor Macbeth is astonished he does not he does not no what to think one of the prophesies has come true.
             Macbeth lingers in his thoughts fro a while and for some strange reason hides his feelings from banquo and he writes a letter to his wife lady Macbeth and tells her all off what has happened that is the end of scene two.
             In the third scene of play Macbeth ride to his castle with the king and all his court to spend the night there. However upon arrival at Macbeths castle the king announces his heir, and Macbeth is shocked to find that the witches prediction has not come true he speaks with is with his wife and she tells him he must kill the king.
