             Ah, sorority life! It is a very appealing lifestyle for young college women. Many freshman start college with the dream of becoming a sorority sister; however very few of those freshman ever make it into this type of "secret society". There is a process, once a year, sororities call rush. During rush, a woman interested in Greek life may go to each sorority and find out what they have to offer. This process usually takes a week and is held right before the fall semester of classes start.
             The first and most important step in rush is visiting all the different sororities that one might have an interest in. After going to each one, meeting the different members, and participating in a get-to-know-you activity, one will then narrow down their list. They will only pick a few to go back to the following night. This also allows the sorority to meet candidates and learn what they might have to offer that will meet their particular standards. Then later on that evening the members of the sorority will go through the list of candidates and they will also choose who they want to come back to their house.
             On the next morning, one will receive a phone call from a sorority sister with the list of sororities that are interested in seeing one a second time. If one's list matches with the picks from the sorority, then they will go ahead and visit the selected sororities a second time. During this visit, one will get a little more personal. They are asked to tour the home and fill out a questionnaire. This questionnaire consists of personal information, grades, and the reasoning one might want to be a part of that certain sorority. When the girls all go home, the leaders of the sorority then review the questionnaires and decide who will come back for a presentation and dinner.
