fairies

Sleeping Beauty: Disney vs. the Brothers Grimm The fact that no one knows how fairytales created, it comes from the history realm. Fairytales has been told over, and over for centuries. It comes from different countries, cultures, and beliefs. Also it carries the morals for all age groups. The fairytales use the nature as base elements for the stories. Fairy tales have been told in wide variations, details have been added, some parts has been removed, and even changes in the characters of the story. While every time is been told it changes the boundaries, but one thing never changed, which is the essence of the main original story. For example in the Walt Disney's" Sleeping Beauty" it presents a sharp contrast from "Brier Rose" the version presented by the Brothers Grimm. That's because of various reasons. One major reason is the length of the stories. The Grimm's' tale is almost three pages long, while the Disney version is 80 minutes long. In the Disney version many details have been added to the original story to give the viewer a real life impression, in very logical patterns. One of the major different details is the role of the uninvited fairy that sets everything in motion by cursing the newborn pr

By making Maleficent an evil person from the beginning, Disney sets up an evil for the audience to hate, and therefore it will be easier conflict to understand. In the Grimm's story, because of the fairy were not invited, it made the fairy change to an evil. The evil fairy DIAA HANNA 2/4in the Disney's version has already fulfilled her role as evil and then exits the story, having set the future conflict in motion. DIAA HANNA 3/4In Disney's version, this is not the case. In the Grimm's" Briar Rose" the thirteenth fairy was not invited, because the king and the queen posses only twelve plates. The Grimm's and Disney versions of Sleeping Beauty are extremely different versions of same tale. Disney makes its version more suited to this modern style of love and relationship by adding more details to the original story. The changes are primarily to make the tale more accessible to modern day's children. However, once the prince sees her, he kisses, she wakes up, and they are married immediately. It is one of many examples of how fairytales change in details through generations to serve the people in a better way. He must fight his way through the thorns, cutting them to pieces with his sword. It makes the hard concepts, and morals in the Grimm's version are more understandable, because children can easily hate the witch. The prince is already in love with Briar Rose and therefore has a real motivation. DIAA HANNA 4/4In the Grimm's', the princess served her full term on sleep, a full hundred years, Which it makes hard for the young viewers in these days to understand.
