During the Spanish colonial times, the market economy was dictated by one single factor, the galleon trade. The new economy has its un-patched holes, the rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer. It has evolved along with our history. Countries no longer relied on the once a year voyage of the galleon but have invented was of transporting goods. Merchants have evolved into capitalists. With all these current developments computers have been linked to different sectors in the society thus again sharing with other entities. Computer technology also has the capability of having people expand its limits. Another reason why I think that the theory of development proposed by the two social scientists can be applied to computers and technology in general is due to the limitations of technology. Nevertheless it served its function in the society. The modern computer technology has pretty much a little bit of everything and everything has a little bit of computer technology. As the files became bigger, floppy diskettes were re-invented to hold more data and be more compact. Every year, companies re-invent software to bring new uses for the personal computer.
