Computer Tech
We are living in the era of a 'knowledge revolution' and are entering an informative society. Information capabilities of computers have made possible multinational corporations, and their analytic and imaging capabilities have made possible scientific and engineering breakthroughs. Both at individual and institutional levels, computer technologies suggest fundamental changes in the organization of everyday life. So, what kind of tool is a computer, and in which way do people get engage with computers? Computers are objects that are becoming dominant features in the human environment. Initially, computers were not socially neutral (i.e. residual ideologies when computers were first launched); they were substitutes for humans and were defined as only appropriate for certain social roles belonging to young faculty and graduate students, signifying their lack of resources to hire human support staff. A 'PC' with 433 cileron would be sufficient for me. Both the MP3 player and cataloguer 'iTunes' andthe video editing program 'iMovie' are also included. Privacy is an issue that will not disappear. Designers find it more convenient and easier to use iMac as compared to normal 'PCs'. Personally, I feel that people 'communicate' with computers everyday unknowingly. To this particular group of users, iMacs are regarded as an essential tool in their everyday life, helping and assisting them in their job scope, achieving their work objectives. The effects of computers and technology can be grouped into intersecting domains of influence. They are specially designed to meet the needs of certain people. In fact, it is becoming more pronounced as the computers make even greater inroads into the functioning of society. To me, like PCs, iMacs are general-purpose devices as well. Although computers may have endangered privacy, there is no doubt that we cannot live without their existence. iMacs work a lot like Windows computers in some ways, but they're different in some very big ways. Computers often make more efficient use of resources and hence, they provide the ultimate rationale for precision and efficiency.
