            Study Skills Inventory Analysis
             Effective study skills make you a better student and allow you to gain more knowledge than you would gain by just doing the minimum requirements. According to my study skills inventory, my ratings range from 0-2. I am happy that I do not have a 3 or 4 for any of the characteristics, because that shows me that I am effective when it comes to how I study. For some students, if there is no pain, there is no gain, but it need not be that way. Your success in both high school and college is dependent upon your ability to study effectively and efficiently. The results of poor study skills are wasted time, frustration, and low or failing grades. It is your life, your time, and your future. All I can say, upon many years of reflection as a student, is that time is precious and not to be squandered, no matter what people believe right now.
             The first step to becoming an effective and efficient studier is having good time management skills. Before you even begin to think about the process of studying, you must develop a schedule. If you do not have a schedule or a plan for studying, then you will not have any way of allocating your valuable time when the unexpected comes up. A good well-thought out schedule can be a life-saver. All schedules should be made with the idea that they can be revised. Things unexpectedly may occur, and your schedule should always be able to allow for them. A good schedule is the foundation of good time management skills.
