Second Impressions of Grandpa

             Stanza 1: Describes a Hut that is old and worn. It is located among mango trees (sweet smelling) but it has been closed up for so long that it smells musty. Even the open windows do not expell the smell.
             Stanza 2: The clothes were in the closet for so long, that they had begun to stick to each other. They had to be actually pried apart from the one another.
             Stanza 3: Their grandpa was a hard workingman. The smell of nutmeg, clove cocoa, and cinnamon, although dusty still lingers in the Hut.
             Stanza 4: Their grandma did not think very highly of their grandpa. One can say she did not like him at all. She thought of him as some one from the devil. Her story of the separation changes, depending on her mood (did he abandoned her or did she flee from him because she disliked him so much).
             Stanza 5: She showed no affection for him, as if he was never a part of her live. She even boarded up the hut, almost as if he never existed. She did not discuss him to the grandchildren and if she did, it seemed as if she had nothing good to say.
             Stanza 6: Grandma wanted nothing to do with grandpa but she wanted the money that he had saved from his hard labor. She was so busy making grandpa look bad, that she did not realized that she admitted to using grandpa's money during the hard times.
             Stanza 7: The surroundings in the old, creaky, termite infested Hut told the history of their grandpa. The banjos, which hang from the wall, and the mouth organs indicated, that grandpa was full of live and loved to play music. There was more than one banjo and mouth organ ...... maybe grandma and grandpa both were happy at one point in time or another. What ever it was, grandpa cherished those days up to his death.
             Stanza 8: Grandpa & Grandma seem to have visited Panama, where he brought a hat and held on to the memories by hanging it over their wedding picture. This picture shows both of them smiling. Grandpa loved grandma or so it seems, but at som...
