Unwarranted Assumptions

An assumption is something that we hold as true. Sometimes there is evidence to back up our assumptions other times we just take it for granted that it is true. If some one told you that the sun came up today you would believe them based on past evidence. On the other hand if an electrician told you that if you touch a certain wire you will die you leave the wire alone.
